Charity trustees wanted

11.11.11

Shared Lives South West is seeking 2-3 additional trustees to join its board.  The organisation has more than doubled in size since 2004 when it was set up, and has plans to do so again over the next three years.  The board therefore needs strengthening in both numbers and skills to help it through this exciting phase, whilst ensuring we adhere to our commitment to deliver high quality Shared Lives services.  The organisation is also planning to extend geographically within the South West.

Clive Wilson, chair of Shared Lives South West explains.

“We are seeking new trustees who can bring additional skills and knowledge to our organisation.  In particular we would welcome people who have a marketing and PR background or experience in developing organisations in the third sector.  People also need to see the potential of the Shared Lives model, and have a commitment to better services for people who need some additional help and support in the community.  As some of our longer standing trustees are stepping down over the next year, we are seeking to 2-3 people to maintain our numbers but also broaden our skills base.  It is an exciting time and a great charity to be involved in.”
